We started Dock Diving in 2022 on a whim with Dexter. He wasn’t overly enthusiastic about it, but he did like to swim!
In 2023, I started training Lacy to jump off the ramp and then eventually she ventured jumping off the dock. She earned her Dock Diving Novice title (DN) on July 1, 2023 and then later that month, son July 29, 2023, she earned her Dock Diving Junior title (DJ). In 2024and 2025, Lacy continued to compete in Distance Jumps. I expect her to earn her Dock Diving Junior Advance title (DJA) during her last competition in October 2025. Also in 2025, she began doing Air Retrieve and Hydro Dash. I expect her to achieve her novice titles in 2026 and hope to be able to compete with her in the 2026 NADD West Coast Regionals.
In 2025, I started with Harley with Dock Diving. Like his brother Dexter, he isn’t all that enthusiastic, but also likes to swim. We will continue in 2026 to see if he finds out how much fun it can be! I also added Willow to the list of swimmers and she, like her sister Lacy, is having a blast. She went off the dock after only 3 weeks of lessons and as her confidence builds , I think she may surpass Lacy next year.
