Jed was born with a split lip and at two days old, his mother rejected him and would not let him nurse.  So we started to bottle feed him and by the time he was three weeks old, he was gradually catching up with his other brothers.  During the first three weeks of his life, he went to work with Mike who fed him every few hours.  At home, he stayed in a small wading pool in front of our pellet stove to keep him warm throughout the night. Once he was able to eat puppy food, he was put back with his brothers and continued his socialization.

At the end of January 2015, Jed was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure.  We were told normally, dogs live between 3 – 6 months. He passed away on July 12, 2015.  We were so blessed to have Jed as part of our pack. He was the goofy dog in the pack, but to those outside, he was the most serious of all the dogs.
