Brick caught my eye when she was just a few weeks old. She had a sparkle of mischief in her from when she first became mobile. She has structurally matured into a beautiful example of the Australian Cattle Dog.
People often comment that “COVID Puppies” are not a real concern. However, I tell you that because of COVID 19, Brick was not able to be properly socialized. She was 8 weeks old when the nation went into lockdown. This is the ideal time to get puppies exposed to all types of new things and alleviate their fear. As a result, she is more timid that the rest of my dogs. She startles easily and has her own set of “quirks”.
I was very proud of her when on Sunday, June 20, 2024, she was awarded her International Championship through the IABCA. In this type of show, dogs are judged against the breed standard rather than against each other. I hope one day to be able to get her AKC Championship.
